Are you an experienced Individual Giving Officer, or Senior Marketing Executive who would love to use your skills to help us Beat Macular Disease?

Macular disease is the biggest cause of sight loss in the UK, with around 300 people diagnosed every day. The Macular Society is the only charity determined to beat the fear and isolation of macular disease with world class research and the best advice and support.

To support people affected by macular disease now, the Macular Society provides a range of support, information and services. Our research programme is focused on finding new treatments and a cure to beat macular disease forever.

The Senior Individual Giving Officer will support the Individual Giving Manager to acquire and retain new supporters in order to engage supporters and deliver long term income to help Beat Macular Disease. As such, this role will be key in helping us to meet our ambitious five year growth targets.

These two new roles will be responsible for delivering campaigns across multiple channels and audiences including direct mail, digital, face to face and telephone and will work across cash appeals, raffle, lottery, regular giving and membership. One role is currently envisioned to focus on new supporter acquisition, and the other to focus on retaining and engaging those supporters.

We’re looking for someone with who can manage a diverse and demanding workload with a smile. You’ll need to be fantastic at working collaboratively as part of a team, and communicating with a range of stakeholders, as well as able to work independently on your own initiative. You will be organised and committed to high standards, but be agile enough to multitask and prioritise.

You’ll have demonstrable experience in a similar role, delivering live campaigns to achieve targets. You’ll also have a strong eye for detail and numbers, and you’ll understand how important post campaign analysis is, and be well versed in making recommendations.

We are an equal opportunities employer and we welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons.

The role is normally based in Andover, although home working with some travel to the Andover office will be considered.
