Are you a talented publications manager and content creator who would love to use your writing skills to help us Beat Macular Disease?
Macular disease is the biggest cause of sight loss in the UK, with around 300 people diagnosed every day. The Macular Society is the only charity determined to beat the fear and isolation of macular disease with world class research, and the best advice and support.
To support people affected by macular disease now, the Macular Society provides a range of support, information and services. Their research programme is focused on finding new treatments and a cure to beat macular disease forever.
We are looking for a talented writer and content curator who is able to help us communicate effectively with all of our Macular Society audiences (including donors, beneficiaries, volunteers and healthcare professionals) across all of our online and offline channels.
You will play a key role in our friendly and dynamic team and you will be essential in ensuring that our magazines, emails, websites and appeals will engage our audiences, enabling success and maximising impact. You will also work with our Research and Help and Advice teams to deliver complex, specialist information in an easy-to-understand and interesting way. At some point the role may also encompass creation of patient information material.
As part of our application process we will invite those selected for interview to complete a task related to the role.
We are an equal opportunities employer and we welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons.
