Fundraising & awareness events

fundraising and awareness event in Andover with the Mayor

Voluntary donations are essential to the work of the Macular Society.

Are you able to give just a little of your time to help us raise vital funds and awareness about macular conditions?

Many of our volunteers find it rewarding to help people in their local area, by having a fundraising table or display. You can often do this at a:

  • Supermarket charity day
  • Health or community centre
  • Annual fete or community event
  • Sports centre or local theatre

Why not involve friends and neighbours to make the day fun for everyone?

Free packs of fundraising and awareness materials are available to assist you with your event.

Our small packs are designed for events up to 25 people

Medium packs are suitable for events between 25 and 50 people

Large packs can be used for events where you’re expecting more than 50 people.

Materials include posters, balloons, pens and wristbands as well as information on macular disease and the Society’s free membership offer.

We’re happy for you to order as many packs as you need. However, as all materials cost money, please try and raise as much as you can on the day to help cover our cost.

Materials are sent directly from our mailing company, so please allow 14 – 21 days for delivery.

We’ll also help by promoting your event on our website if you wish.
