Walks and treks

Enjoy walking and fancy something more challenging than a gentle stroll? Then we have just the thing! Trekfest gives you the chance to experience the very best trekking while raising funds to help people affected by macular disease. There is a choice of two distances.  Each route has marshalled checkpoints, with first aid and refreshment facilities.

For all treks, you can either pay a deposit and pledge to raise the minimum sponsorship shown below, or fund yourself and just raise what you can!

  • 25k – fundraising target £165. A great introduction to challenge trekking.
  • 50k – fundraising target £300. Designed for seasoned trekkers who want to challenge themselves.

Walk the Test Way 2017

Enjoy a good walk through stunning countryside?  Then why not sign-up for this year’s Walk the Test Way on 8 October 2017 and raise much-needed funds for the Macular Society?

This annual event, organised by the Rotary Club of Romsey Test, offers a choice of five scenic walks to suit all abilities through the beautiful TestValley in Hampshire; from a leisurely five mile stroll to a more challenging 25.5 mile option.  There are also eight, 11 and 16 mile routes to choose from.

Adult registration is £12.00 or £6.00 if aged 15 and under.

Your registration fee will cover transport, paramedic support and administration costs.  We will receive 80% of your sponsorship if you choose to fundraise through Just Giving, with the Rotary Club receiving the remaining 20% to distribute among its supported charities.

Dogs are welcome on the transport and walk, but must be on a short lead at all times.
