Our organisation
Whether we’re answering your calls, offering practical support, or raising the funds for research, we have the same mission: to Beat Macular Disease.
Our strategy
It is our duty to Beat Macular Disease by providing the best advice and support, and by funding the research that will find a cure.
Our people
Our people are one of our biggest strengths – find out about the people who make up the Macular Society.
Our regions
We are proud to have staff based around the UK to give you localised support; including regional managers, peer support coordinators and a groups admin team based at our head office in Andover.
Our performance and impact
The difference we make to people with macular disease: staff, trustees, volunteers, members and supporters.
Our history
The Macular Society was founded in 1987 by Elizabeth Thomas who was dismayed by the lack of support that she, and other people with macular disease, were offered. Find out what we have achieved since then.
