Experiences of Personal Independence Payment on people with sensory impairments

Posted: Tuesday 09 February 2016

Researchers at NatCen Social Research are currently working on a project about the experiences of people with vision impairment and people with combined hearing and sight loss who have been claiming Disability Living Allowance (DLA) and who will apply for Personal Independence Payments (PIP).

They would like to speak to people aged between 16-64, from London or the West Midlands, who have had their PIP assessment and have received an outcome in the last few months.

The interview will seek to discuss your views and experiences of the PIP application, the assessment process along with the outcome and the impact this has had on your life.

The interview will last up to an hour and you will receive £20 cash as a thank you for taking part. Everything you say is kept confidential.
