Trustee

Our trustees are responsible for setting our long-term organisational strategy and ensuring that we’re well-run and works as effectively as possible. You will use your knowledge, skills and experience to ensure the Macular Society achieves our charitable objectives and provide support and advice on matters that impact us. Helpline advisor (fixed-term contract)

Closing date: Monday 24 August 2026 Location: Based in Andover, Hampshire, with hybrid working available (1–2 days per week in the office) Salary: £29,000 - £31,000 pro-rata - Full time - 35 hours per week - 6 month contract (happy to discuss part time working patterns)

As part of our dedicated and supportive helpline team, you'll provide information, reassurance and practical guidance by phone, email and online. You'll help people navigate diagnosis, treatment and everyday life with sight loss. This is a parental leave cover role, so we're looking for someone who can quickly become a trusted source of information and support for people living with macular disease.

Individual giving marketing officer

Closing date: Wednesday 26 August 2026 Location: Home based or office based in Andover, Hampshire, with regular travel to head office. Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 pro-rata - Full time - 35 hours per week

As part of our friendly and collaborative individual giving team, you’ll support recruiting and developing new supporters and building long-term relationships that generate vital income to help Beat Macular Disease. With ambitious plans to grow our fundraising programme over the next five years, you’ll play an important role in helping us meet the needs of our members and donors.
