Salary: £29,000 per annum (pro rata) - Part time 22.5hrs per week

Macular disease is the biggest cause of sight loss in the UK, with around 300 people diagnosed every day. The Macular Society is the only charity determined to beat the fear and isolation of macular disease with world class research and, and the best advice and support.

To support people affected by macular disease now, the Macular Society provides a range of support, information and services. Our research programme is focused on finding new treatments and a cure to beat macular disease forever.

The Role

We are looking for someone to help us expand and develop a sustainable peer support network for people living with macular conditions, within the Belfast, South Eastern and Northern Health & Social Care (HSC) Trust. You will act as a main contact for all our support services across the region, recruit, retain and manage volunteers and occasionally support development throughout Northern Ireland.

This role requires extensive travel across Belfast, South Eastern and Northern Health & Social Care Trust and occasionally to our Head Office in Andover, Hampshire, England.
