My Step Challenge

Step up and step out to help Beat Macular Disease by creating a step challenge to suit you.

Your Step Challenge is really simple to do. For every step that you’re sponsored for, we’re moving a step closer to finding a cure.

Here’s how in three easy steps:

  1. Decide on the number of steps that you’d like to achieve.
  2. Register your challenge with us.
  3. Create a page on Just Giving – nominating the Macular Society as your chosen charity – and set a sponsorship target.

If you’re exercising outside, please take care and be safe.

If you’re exercising at home, why not count steps climbing the stairs, walking around the garden or mowing the lawn. You can use a smartwatch or a smartphone to keep track of your step total.

We’ll send you our fundraising guide and record book to log your progress. Plus, if you raise over £150 we’ll send you your very own Challenger medal.

Good luck! We would love to hear how you are getting on. Please share your progress and a link to your fundraising page on social media.

PS: If you want to complete your challenge in a more exotic virtual location, here are some ideas:

Climb the steps of the Leaning Tower of Pisa = 297 steps
Cross the Severn Bridge = 2,100 steps
Run or walk the Berlin or London Marathon = 55,374 steps
Swim the English Channel = 92,388 steps
Cycle the Tour de France = 1,044,444 steps
