Research trials - participant sign up

There are many clinical trials and research studies looking at new treatments and ultimately trying to find a cure for macular disease. We are often approached to help find people to participate in clinical trials and research studies. Involvement can range from providing feedback on new developments, to undergoing treatment as part of a trial.

Our research participant database is for anyone with a macular condition, as well as healthy family members and volunteers. You can sign up whether or not you are a member of the Macular Society by completing the form below. We collect basic information about you and your condition to help us check your eligibility for trials and then write to you about research studies you may be eligible to participate in. We keep the information confidential and secure. If you are eligible to take part in a study, we write to you with more information and you decide whether to contact the researchers directly to take part.

If you are a researcher and would like to find out more about the database, please contact Geraldine Hoad on 01264 322 419.
