Local support groups
Our groups provide information and support to those with macular disease, their family and friends.
Each one is a welcoming and compassionate place to learn about the support available, build your confidence, and better understand your own macular disease. And, of course, it’s a chance to make new friends who really understand what sight loss is like.
Please note that some of our local groups meet via telephone conference call while some are meeting in person. To join a group, or confirm if a specific group is meeting face to face or by telephone, please phone our groups admin team on 01264 560 259. Please call to check whether a groups is meeting in person before you set out for a meeting.
Find out more about our support groups, including telephone groups and those for working age and young people. There are also online support groups specific to particular types of macular disease. See our regional support information for patient information events and contact details for our team out in the regions.
If you would like to make a peer support group referral for yourself or someone else, please fill in this form.
