Posted: Monday 04 April 2016

Moorfields Eye Hospital is holding an open day to give the public a chance to find out more about the science and research that lies behind eye treatments.

The free event, which will take place in celebration of International Clinical Trials Day, will be held at the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) clinical research facility based at Moorfields Eye Hospital on May 20.

Events at the open day will include talks from investigative scientists, showcasing the ground breaking research they have undertaken as well as a chance to discover how it feels to perform normal day to day tasks when you have a disability.

There will also be the opportunity to participate in interactive workshops demonstrating clinical skills and discussing the importance of eyes and vision research.
