Are you visually impaired and in employment?

Posted: Wednesday 28 February 2018

Statistics have shown that blind and partially sighted people are significantly less likely to be in paid employment than the general population, or other disabled people.

Only a quarter of registered blind and partially sighted people of working age are in paid or self-employment, compared with around three quarters of the UK general population.

We're launching a campaign next month to try to increase the numbers of visually impaired people in work and are looking for your stories.

Maybe you've had to give up work because of lack of support from your employer? Or, have experienced issues with Access to Work?

Whether you're in or out of work, tell us your experiences at comms@macularsociety.org
