Posted: Tuesday 07 July 2020

The Department of Psychology at City, University of London is looking for volunteers for a study on the effects of age-related macular degeneration (AMD) on communication, social interaction and interpersonal relationships.

They need to speak to people who:

  • are aged 55 or over
  • have had a diagnosis of AMD for at least two years
  • do not have a known hearing impairment
  • are willing to discuss their personal experiences in a telephone or Skype interview lasting around one hour.

Participants will be invited to share their experience of AMD – in particular, impacts of AMD on communication, interactions, conversations and relationships with other people.
