Take on England’s finest countryside at your pace as a walk, jog, or run and fundraise for #TeamMacular! 

Based in Kendal, the challenge features a 100km looped route with a few tough hills to Ambleside. The halfway point is by Lake Windermere, offering stunning views, and a warm welcome awaits back at basecamp!

Join up to 2,000 adventurers and sign up as an individual or as part of a team – you’ll receive full support all the way. There will be plenty of food and drink, optional camping and transfers, a special medal, t-shirt, and celebration finish.

With 50km, half marathon, quarter, and 10km options available, there’s a Lake District Challenge for everyone!

Please note:

The registration fee for this event is non-refundable. At least 50% of your minimum sponsorship target must be received by the Macular Society six weeks before the challenge. At this point, we will pay an organiser’s fee for your place.

If the fundraising deadline is not met, your place may be cancelled. The remaining 50% of your sponsorship should be received within four weeks after the challenge.

Visually Impaired participants

If you are a visually impaired participant Action Challenge offer a 50% reduction on the self-funded entry fee for a guide/support to accompany you. If you would like further details, please contact community@macularsociety.org
