As a member of the Macular Society, you're at the heart of everything we do and we're always looking for new ways to involve you.

Because of you, people can access vital support. And thanks to you, groundbreaking research to find a cure is moving forward, meaning that one day we will Beat Macular Disease for good.

This summer, we'd like to invite you to take part in an open, informal and interactive conversation about our future plans and governance. You'll be able to share your views and ask questions about the issues that matter most to you.

About the sessions

There will be three virtual sessions with Macular Society trustees and senior leaders.

Each session covers the same topics, so there's no need to attend more than one. They are open to all fully paid members and will take place on Zoom, with the option to join by phone if you prefer.

Tuesday 28 July 2026, 2pm – 3pm
Tuesday 4 August 2026, 11am – 12pm
Wednesday 2 September 2026, 4pm – 5pm

What will each session cover?

The important work we are planning that will make a real difference to people living with macular disease, including investment in research, support services and making vision matter
Our governance arrangements and how we ensure they support your involvement, are fit for the future and reflect our commitment to Beating Macular Disease
The chance to share your questions, feedback and experiences.

How to register

To take part you will need to register in advance using the same email address that we hold for you. You can register anytime up to 24 hours before the session you want to join.

Select your preferred session below to register through Zoom.

Once you've registered, you'll receive a confirmation email from Zoom with your joining information.

Joining your session

On the day of your session, simply return to this page and use the relevant 'Join session' button, or use the link in your Zoom confirmation email.

Taking part is free and there's no need to download any software.

If you'd like to verbally ask questions during the session, you'll need a microphone or built-in microphone.

To help create a comfortable and supportive environment, these sessions will not be recorded or transcribed.
