Experts gearing up for return of annual macular disease conference

From AI-powered smart glasses to understanding cell replacement therapy to treat age-related macular degeneration (AMD), experts in macular research will come together for the 2026 Macular Disease Conference ‘Hope for the Future’.

Dr Michael Crossland, Professor Ruth Hogg and Professor Lyndon Da Cruz will be among those joining us for this year’s online conference, which will take place online on Saturday, 12 September.

As well as understanding the latest research, insights and developments, the conference will also offer information and support. There will also be an opportunity to put your questions to the speakers.

Whether you have macular disease yourself, or are a friend, relative or carer of someone who does, you can register now to secure your spot.

Our annual Macular Disease Conference is now in its seventh year. All sessions are free to attend, with the ability to join or leave each virtual session at your own convenience.

To watch online, all you need is a computer, tablet or smartphone. You can also join using your telephone.
