Information for funeral directors
Thank you so much for supporting families through this difficult time, and for collecting donations in memory on our behalf.
Funeral collections are incredibly important to the Macular Society, funding both world-class research and the best advice and support to people living with macular disease.
We are currently recommending that families set up an online tribute page, to enable those unable to attend restricted services to pay their respects. We use muchloved’s platform for this.
If you are setting up a page using muchloved, you may wish to consider sharing or transferring ownership of the page to a family member after the service. Many people find comfort in adding to a tribute page and it would mean that, long after the funeral is over, they can keep the page as a lasting tribute to their loved one.
If you have cheques to send to us, please send them, along with any Gift Aid declarations or envelopes, to:

You can also pay in a simple cash collection online, by phone or by BACS transfer.
If you are paying in online, please enter “Funeral Director” when prompted for your relationship to the Deceased, and note that Gift Aid does not apply to collections. If you have collected Gift Aid declarations at the service, please send these to us by post.
If you have any questions, you need our bank details or you would like to order envelopes for a service, please call Debbie, Corinne or Jackie on 01264 322 410 or email inmemory@macularsociety.org
Thank you again for collecting donations on behalf of the Macular Society.
