Volunteer Roles
Our volunteers are at the heart of the Macular Society, helping to Beat Macular Disease. We couldn’t do it without them.
If you are interested in volunteering, take a look at the different roles available. Once you’ve decided which volunteer role would suit you best, please complete our volunteer application form and one of the team will be in touch.
Volunteer roles
We have a variety of roles available, depending on what you would like to do and how much time you can give:

Administrative volunteers
Volunteer for the Macular Society, a national charity based in Andover, and help Beat Macular Disease.

Fundraising volunteers
Volunteer as a Macular Society Fundraiser to help fund research to find a cure and support those with macular disease now.

Become a Gadget Guide
Volunteer for the Macular Society, demonstrating the practical gadgets that help people with sight loss live independently.

Peer support group volunteers
Our Support Groups run throughout the country, and make a real difference to people affected by macular disease. There are several roles within our Groups, so please get in touch if you’re interested in finding out more.

Telephone Befrienders
Make a real difference to people affected by macular disease by offering them a friendly listening ear by telephone.
